Who's in charge of your data
When you book through this site, two parties handle your details: the salon you booked with (they are the data controller — they decide what to do with your details) and Tempo(the booking platform — we process the details on the salon's behalf). The salon's name and contact email are on the page where you booked.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number, and email.
- The service, stylist, date, and time you booked.
- Any note you typed into the booking form.
- The salon may add notes about your appointment afterwards (e.g. preferred polish, allergies). These notes are visible only to the salon's staff.
Why we collect it
- To confirm your appointment. Your email gets the confirmation and a reminder the day before. Your phone is so the salon can reach you if something changes.
- To run the salon.Staff need to know who's booked, when, and for what.
- To improve your next visit. If you book again, the salon can see your history (only at that salon).
Who sees it
Only the salon you booked with, and Tempo staff who help operate the platform. We never sell or share your details with third parties for marketing. Email is sent via Resend (our email provider).
How long we keep it
Bookings and contact details are kept while you remain an active customer of that salon. If you ask to be removed, the salon will delete your record (anonymising past bookings for their own accounting). Marketing emails are off by default — there's an unsubscribe link on every email that's not a direct appointment confirmation or reminder.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask the salon for a copy of everything they hold about you, to correct anything that's wrong, and to ask them to delete it. Contact the salon directly for any of these — their email is on the booking page.
If you can't reach the salon, or if you're unhappy with how they responded, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember which step of the booking flow you're on. No third-party advertising cookies, no tracking pixels.
Changes to this notice
If we change anything material, the "last updated" date at the top will change. For small fixes (typos, clarifications) we don't announce them.
